Bookings

All bookings are made according to the vehicle category, not for a specific model. If a vehicle in the customer’s selected category is unavailable, regarding any confirmed reservation, Olympos Rent a Car reserves the right to provide the customer with a vehicle of a higher category at no additional cost. The company reserves the right to finalize the rental agreement with the customer before vehicle delivery, based on any contractual matters from previous rentals.

Our Prices Include:

  • Basic insurance package

  • Unlimited kilometers

  • Free pick-up and drop-off

  • Free child/infant seat

  • All legal taxes and 24% VAT

  • Third-party liability

Driver: Minimum age 23 years. Maximum age 75 years.

Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license for Greece and the EU is required, issued at least 1 year prior to the rental start date. Non-EU citizens must hold a license valid in both Greece and the EU, or an international driving permit alongside their national license. Digital licenses issued outside Greece are not accepted.

Fines & Penalties: Traffic fines are the responsibility of the renter. The renter is also responsible for any administrative fees. Fines can be paid in cash or by credit card. If a fine arises after the rental period, the company will charge the renter’s card. Removal of license plates by authorities during the rental must be compensated by the renter; the amount is calculated based on the number of days without plates multiplied by the daily rental rate.

Payment Method: A credit/debit card is required as a guarantee even if payment is made in cash. Rentals are prepaid.

Cancellations: Must be made at least 48 hours before the rental start date. Contact the company via the booking system, phone, or email.

Cancellation Fees:

  • Cancellation ≥ 48 hours: full deposit refund (up to 14 days for card payments).

  • Cancellation < 48 hours: no refund.

After-hours pick-up/drop-off: €20 per service.
Additional driver: €4/day, max 3 drivers.
Child seat: Free, but age must be specified.
Fuel: Return with same fuel level; difference plus refueling €15. Vehicles delivered with at least ¼ tank.
Kilometers: Unlimited.

Accidents: €37 handling fee per incident. Report to Olympos Rent a Car, police, and insurance. Remain at the accident site; failure to report may void coverage.

Insurances

Basic Protection: Covers damage caused, but renter liable up to full vehicle value. Deposit: €600 (refunded after rental).

Standard Protection: Covers damages above:

  • €800 + VAT (categories A,B,C,D)

  • €1250 + VAT (categories F, FX, G, GQ)
    Includes 24/7 roadside assistance. Cost: €15/day. Deposit: €300.

Premium Protection: Covers damages above:

  • €400 + VAT (categories A,B,C,D)

  • €800 + VAT (categories F, FX, G, GQ)
    Includes 24/7 roadside assistance. Cost: €20/day. Deposit: €150.

Note: Coverage invalid if damage caused by traffic law violations.

Insurance Exclusions:

  • Driving under alcohol/drugs

  • Unauthorized driver

  • Interior damage

  • Seat damage from sea salt

  • Illegal parking

  • Traffic law violations

  • Negligent driving

  • Wrong fuel

  • Off-road driving

  • Late return damages

  • Mirrors, glass, tires, rims, undercarriage

  • Lost keys/accessories (replacement cost charged)

  • Failure to notify company, insurance & police

  • Loss of personal items

  • Intentional damage (e.g., clutch burn)

  • Cleaning fee €120 for extra cleaning; €50 for one seat or partial interior

Pets/Animals: Allowed only in special carrier.
Transport by ferry: Not permitted.
Vehicle replacement: Provided if vehicle unusable due to damage; additional charge if renter at fault.

Important: Inspect the vehicle before and after rental; report any damage. Recommended to record photos/videos. Company not responsible for personal item loss. Rental can be canceled if terms or law violated.

Contract Termination: Company may terminate rental and repossess vehicle if renter deemed unsuitable or dangerous, without refund for remaining days.

NOTE: False information may result in no vehicle provided and no refund.
